POET · EDITOR · COACH
Words are my work — on stage, on the page, and everywhere in between. I help poets, scholars, and organizations say exactly what they mean.
In 2024, my poem "Reflection" was selected for the inaugural season of Poems in Passage, a nonprofit public arts initiative that places poetry across Toronto's transit system. Being one of only eleven featured poets to launch such a meaningful program meant so much, as my work was prominently featured on streetcars, buses, subway cars, and cultural landmarks like the Aga Khan Museum.
My poem was part of a collection seen by over a million commuters every working day across 75% of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) network.
I was blessed to share the season with poets I highly respect, such as d’bi.young anitafrika, Lillian Allen, and Najwa Zebian.
Far and away, the most powerful part of this experience was people sharing stories of how the poems found them, and how they needed to hear them. I am grateful.
Season 2 has since expanded to feature Margaret Atwood, Rupi Kaur, and Mustafa the Poet.
